Here is their pirate ship creation...as you can see it involved every chair we own plus some other random toys!

St. Patrick's Day

For St. Patrick's Day we made "GREEN" julius drinks! Carson and Ava enjoyed making them...and drinking them!

Mommy and Ava sporting our green...

Carson refused to wear green....he had to wear his Hawkeye jersey, so Chad told him he could be Shonn Green Hawk! I did catch him in some green though!

Lollipops

We brought back some lollipops from Arizona, and Carson and Ava thought they were pretty fun!

Ava

The other night the phone rang right while we were brushing teeth so I left Ava in the bathroom...only to return to her making herself look beautiful! She loves to look good!

Carson!!

Carson is such a ham these days! He just says and does the funniest things! Here he is eating a "few" grapes! I had this bunch sitting on the counter and next thing I know he's helped himself to all of them!

Definitely one of those pictures he's going to regret, but oh well! He was working on the baby's crib...never mind the fact that he was naked while on the job!

And here is he deep in thought doing surgery on Dad's foot...maybe he'll make us some good money one day! He's got it down to a science it seems!

He loves to build anything! This is one of his construction creations....it's a house in case you can't tell!

Big Kid Beds!

Out with the cribs, in with the bunk beds!! As you can see, Carson and Ava were eager to get in and help with the process!

Chad actually did a great job! I was a little worried when he didn't start the process until 6 pm that the kids wouldn't have a place to sleep that night, but he finished in a little under 3 hours!

Exhausted from all that work!

Mom was a bit worried that first night that Ava would fall off the top bunk, but she has done great! They definitely love their big kid beds!!

Fun at Grandpa and Grandma's!

Carson and Ava got to go to Grandpa and Grandma's house while Mom and Dad were in Arizona. They had a blast...but I think Grandma probably had more fun! She had lots of fun things planned!

And they got to decorate Valentine's Day cookies a bit late!

The Nursery...in progress!

The nursery is getting done...a little at a time! Carson and Ava have been eager to help with the painting...hence the reason it's getting done a bit slowly!

Ava's backpack was the inspiration for the room....

...it has proven to be a fun but long process!

...I stil have probably a bit over half the walls to cover with squares...but I'm learning along the way so hopefully the rest will go a bit faster! I just need another full day to work on it, so hopefully that day will come before the baby does!!

And if this baby comes out a BOY...then I have already told Chad...he will be going to Lowe's, bringing paint samples to the hospital, buying paint, and painting over the top half of the room before I come home! Because I will NOT be able to paint over these squares if it would come to that!!

Painting!

I am SO close to being done painting our bedroom! I just have to finish one stripe at the top of the room...but I felt the need to move the room back into place and take a picture to share...just so I felt a sense of accomplishment!

Of course Carson and Ava were more than helpful with "painting!" Carson went and found some "paint trays" in the kitchen...they are actually Halloween silicone bakeware! Clever! Carson then told me he was painting zebra stripes in the bedroom!
