Painting!

I am SO close to being done painting our bedroom! I just have to finish one stripe at the top of the room...but I felt the need to move the room back into place and take a picture to share...just so I felt a sense of accomplishment!

Of course Carson and Ava were more than helpful with "painting!" Carson went and found some "paint trays" in the kitchen...they are actually Halloween silicone bakeware! Clever! Carson then told me he was painting zebra stripes in the bedroom!

Snow Angels

Our little snow angels finally got a chance to play in the snow again...it was some new snow and the weather wasn't too cold!

And as always, Carson had to eat the snow!!

The Significance of "Threes"

So...call me whatever you want....hormonal? Well, I am 26 weeks pregnant so I have a right to be! Sentimental? As we look forward to this next baby, I just can't stop thinking about how fast my babies are growing up!! On my way home from work today I heard a song that made me #1 - cry, and #2 - think about how we always want the "phases" to pass...but this song is all about how fast they truly do pass! I knew I needed to get this song on the blog ASAP! So, when I got on the blog I noticed from Carson and Ava's age counter what a significant day today was! Can you guess it? Don't even try, but here's how my pregnant mind works...today, February 4th, 2008, Carson and Ava are 3 years, 3 months, 3 weeks, and 3 days old. Today also marks the start of my 3rd trimester of pregnancy with our 3rd child! So, even though I desperately need sleep and will likely be up several times tonight with our cold-stricken kids, I really felt the need to post this today! Thanks for letting me ramble...haha!

Somewhat Random

This is just one of those nice moments you have as a parent....I found them the other day playing together nicely, coloring a picture in their toy room...loving each other...no fighting! A nice moment

Silly Carson! He made himself a nice bed in front of the refrigerator...his buddies are under the blankets with him!

Here Ava is using the stethoscope as her personal microphone...don't worry, Mommy told her not to sing too loudly so she didn't hurt her ears!

Pizza Makin' Night and "Sketti" Night

We had a fun night making homemade mini pizzas with the kiddos. Here they are screaming something like "Let's make pizza!!"

Mickey and Minnie Ears and Silly Times!

We got Mickey/Minnie ears! Ava's are princess (what else?) and Carson has a Mickey doo-rag

Carson decided he couldn't wear his ears anymore....he was playing Herky and said that Herky doesn't wear Mickey ears! This is his Herky face! He's such a character!

And here's the little show stealer! She jumped right in front of the camera when I was trying to take one of Carson! Silly girl!

New Bedding

Ava and Carson had a special day out with Dad and got to go to Target to pick out new pillow cases....they came home with entire bedding sets! They are very proud of their grown up ensembles!

Ava chose princess....of course!
